Information we use

When you contact us or arrange a stay, we collect your name, email address, telephone number and country calling code, and your message. Booking enquiries also include the dates, accommodation and its dimensions, numbers of guests by age group, dogs, requested options, and your acknowledgements of the terms and conditions and access information.

Your file may then include correspondence with the campsite, allocated pitches, the agreed price, payments and documents needed for your arrival. Gift vouchers contain information about their recipient and the person giving the gift. We may ask for a postal address where a document requires it.

Technical information, including your IP address, browser, referring page and submission time, may be recorded with the form or in the website’s security logs.

Required fields are indicated on the form. They are needed to process the relevant enquiry. The message field is optional; please do not send sensitive information or payment card details in it. Online payment is not currently available.

Why do we use it?

We use this information to answer questions, assess and manage bookings, prepare arrivals and equipment, send useful information and pre-arrival reminders, record payments and manage related documents.

Arranging and providing your stay is based on the steps you request before entering a contract and on the contract itself. Accounting records are kept to meet applicable obligations. Handling general questions and protecting the website are based on our legitimate interest in answering you and maintaining a secure service. Separate rules apply to trackers that require consent.

Your contact details are not used for newsletters or marketing offers. Price calculations help us prepare your stay; the campsite reviews enquiries and confirms bookings.

Who can access it and where is it kept?

Access is limited to people authorised to manage the campsite and, where necessary, maintain its systems.

Booking files and form submissions are stored in WordPress on OVHcloud hosting. Correspondence is kept in the campsite’s Gmail mailbox. Hosting, email, security and backup providers process information as part of their services.

If you contact the campsite through Gîtes de France or the Les Saisies tourist office, the contact and stay details sent to the campsite may be imported into its management panel from partner emails received in Gmail. This is used only to answer your enquiry and arrange your stay. Importing a request does not constitute acceptance of the terms and conditions or the access-road conditions. The same retention and manual review rules apply to these files.

To consult the planning during an Internet outage, the campsite can enable a copy on its computer. This contains information needed for arrivals: identity, telephone number, stay, pitches and options. Amounts are included if that setting is enabled. This is not a public planning service.

Gmail and the Google services described below may process information outside the European Economic Area. Google describes its safeguards in its privacy policy and data transfer frameworks. We do not claim that emails are stored exclusively in France.

How long is it kept?

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: 12 months after the last relevant exchange.
  • Files used for the day-to-day management of a stay: 24 months after departure.

After this period, only information needed for applicable obligations or a dispute may be kept separately, for the relevant period. Some electronically concluded contracts and some accounting records have specific retention requirements. Information unrelated to these needs is deleted or anonymised.

The campsite reviews retention manually. No file, email or document is deleted automatically.

These rules cover the campsite’s relevant copies, including booking files, form submissions and emails. Backups are renewed according to the chosen backup cycle; information removed from current systems must not be reintroduced when a backup is restored.

The planning copy is updated during synchronisation. A file removed from the server may remain in a disconnected copy until the next update or local erasure. PDF and CSV exports and downloaded documents are separate copies whose retention is also managed by the campsite.

Third-party services and browser storage

Fonts, the existing cached Google reviews and their images are hosted on this website. Displaying them does not automatically contact Google or Trustindex. The form uses local anti-spam protection, without Google reCAPTCHA or tracking cookies.

WordPress sign-in cookies and technical storage for the offline planning support campsite administration. Public browsing uses no advertising or audience-measurement trackers. Elementor visit counters remain in memory and are not saved in the browser. An explicit choice, such as not showing an information popup again, may be remembered. The form protection uses technical counters and an identifier derived from the IP address exclusively to limit abuse. They expire after no more than 24 hours; expired technical entries are subsequently cleaned up by WordPress maintenance. Links to Google Maps, Instagram and Facebook open those services when you use them. Their privacy policies then apply to your browsing on those services.

Your rights

You may request access to your information, correction, erasure or restriction of its use. Depending on the processing, you may also exercise your rights to object or to data portability, and withdraw consent where it is the basis for processing.

Write to campingdalpagelesjorets@gmail.com. If there is doubt about your identity, we may ask for information strictly necessary to verify it. An erasure request does not override applicable retention obligations.

You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
